Our Focus

The tasks of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams are to monitor operations and procedures to ensure that they meet the required standards.

Our quality control scientists support the R&D chemists by analysing the properties of the compounds which leads to a better understanding of their characteristics and allows for further process development.

The quality control department also works closely with our production division by inspecting, testing, or measuring starting materials and products. They record the results of their inspections through test reports and ensure that the production complies with the expected guidelines.

Analytical techniques and equipment

The quality control department includes of a range of equipment:

• NMR 400 MHz spectrometer (¹H/¹³C)
• Chiral and non-chiral HPLC
• Physical testing, Thermal analysis and Particle analysis
• X-Ray Powder Diffraction
• DSC, TGA
• Long term or accelerated stability testings

Analytical Chemistry

Our analytical chemists combine state-of-the-art analytical techniques with experience in development and validation of analytical methods.

One of the major tasks of the quality control department is the analysis of the purity of raw materials and products to provide validation in compliance with the European Pharmcopoeia (Ph. Eur) and cGMP requirements.

Our Goals

Our experienced microbiologists are responsable for planning and carrying out trials involved with the tracking of microorganism development and growth of microbe cultures.

The microbiology team ensures that the manufacturing processes are carried out under sterile conditions as they check for possible contaminations.

The microbiology department offers a broad range of in-vitro biology services to support our manufacturing unit and the chemists in the R&D department:

• Various fermenters with volumes up to 20L
• Class II laminar flow hood
• Several thermostatable static and shaking incubators
• Refrigerated centrifuges and microcentrifuges

• Optical microscope
